Thanks for checking our site out. We love our Shiba Inu's. After several years of research of trying to find a breed to get, we kept going back to the Shiba. We found some with Champion bloodlines, that were also good looking, healthy dogs.

They are from Japanese origin with a look like a fox. They were originally bred to hunt, and most still have that strong desire. This is were their independent, strong willed personalities come from. With the proper training in the first 6 months-one year, they will be a well behaved, obedient companion. They are very versatile, intelligent, and hardy dogs that can do a wide variety of activities.

Shiba's come in 3 different colors...red, black/tan and cream. They have a double thick hair coat that needs maintaining with a good diet and grooming. Shiba's don't require much bathing because of their hair coat, but will require combing during their shed time.
